THE SCOTS LANGUAGE
As the language is at a crucial stage, would you be prepared to
highlight the issue on the home page? Since last in touch, I've
contacted Rob Gibson MSP, Convener of the Scottish Parliament's Cross
Party Group on the Scots Language of which I'm a member. A meeting is
being held later this afternoon so hoping for good news when the minutes
come to hand, hopefully within the next 7 days or so. I also received
an email from his Parliamentary Assistant yesterday saying he would be
very interested in my input and how work on the Census has been progressing.
OUR SUPPORT FOR THE SCOTS LANGUAGE
(condensed history available here)
IS REQUIRED AS A MATTER OF EXTREME URGENCY ! ! It would be impossible to exaggerate the importance of this Petition, upon which, I passionately believe, the future of the Scots language, spoken by an estimated 30% of Scotland's population, may largely depend.
SCOTS LANGUAGE PETITION
