Dougie Awarded THE Tartan Clef Award 2009 for "Caledonia" December 10th 2009


Dougiewas thrilled to receive his Award at the prestigious event in the SECCon Friday 27th November. He was presented with the award by MichaelRussell MSP and was invited to perform "Caledonia" with the HomecomingHouse Band which featured Greg Kane (Hue & Cry) on keyboards, TommyCunningham (Wet, Wet, Wet) on drums, Nico Bruce (Jack Bruce) on bassand Billy Rankin (Nazareth) on electric guitar. 

The Homecoming Scotland Tartan Clef Music Awards 2009 were said tobe the best yet and raised a fantastic £125,000 for the Nordoff Robbins(music therapy) charity. Warm thanks to Mhairi, Dougie and Donald who(along with many others) work so tirelessly for the charity and made usfeel welcome and 'special'. We'll be adding photos to the Gallery, butin the meantime here are some wee photos of Dougie's part of the veryspecial night.


Dougie MacLean is one of Scotland's most successful, respected and popular musicians.

Singer-Songwriter, Composer and 'magical' Performer, he is also a fine guitarist and fiddle player.
