Hi Everyone,

I bring you greetings from the Halton Peel Burns Club in Ontario, Canada, for this the 251st birthday of our Bard, Robert Burns.

Today 6 of our members attended a gathering at the University of Guelph, where we met with David Hopes

the Project Curator at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway,Scotland.

David brought us up to date with the status of the new facility andshowed us three of their valuable artifacts.

A page with verses of Auld Lang Syne in Burns handwriting, a pair ofStockings owned by Burns when he lived at Mossgiel Farm and a lock ofBurns Hair.

The meeting was arranged by Professor Graeme Morton of Guelph University,Scottish Studies Dept.

See the attached photographs. {David is on the left of Graeme in thephoto}.

After the meeting four members of the club made our way to visit thegrave of Robert Burns Great-Great Granddaughter, Isabella Ferguson Brown,

who died in Canada at the age of 10 and is buried in Guelph.

See the attached photographs.

A fuller story about Isabella will be posted on the websitewww.rbana.com inthe "Latest News" section in a day or two.
