Where William Wallace and Robert Burns have both drank a healthy cog in Black Bog, Castle. Where Wallace spent the winter of 1296/7 and where Burns' "Tim Nettles" came to life and Parnassus looks down on the giant Python. Where Bruce was hunted by his own hound and Edward II held court in August 1307.
